Why is this role important at Infobip?

Infobip is looking for a experienced US GAAP accountant and execution-oriented Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance Manager  to support our transition to US GAAP and SOX compliance.  You will be responsible for leading processes of developing accounting policies, manuals, delivering trainings and guidance in under US GAAP.  You will supervise and work together with external consultants. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with SEC reporting requirements, SOX compliance and the IPO process. You will report to Group executive director for taxes and accounting and play a critical and strategic role at Infobip. We are open to receive applications anywhere in Europe.

What will you be doing?

  • Planning, implementing, coordinating, and executing all phases of SOX compliance (leading walkthroughs and identifying/validating key controls, developing test procedures, executing and documenting testing, and reporting results to Management, internal and external audit)
  • Creating and updating documentation including process flowcharts, process narratives, risk and controls matrix and evaluate controls as new systems are developed and/or process changes
  • Organizing, managing and performing SOX testing and ensure testing results are appropriately documented and communicated, including detail review of outsourcing partners execution of SOX procedures
  • Ensuring clear, concise, actionable and practical observations and recommendations, with a well-documented process for communication and clearance
  • Coordinating with internal and external auditors on the annual SOX testing plan and provide support to them to ensure timely and smooth completion of SOX projects
  • Establishing accounting policies and guidelines in accordance with US GAAP and developing subject matter expertise to provide guidance across the organization
  • Directing and leading accounting teams in the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide accounting policies and controls consistent with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Understanding the balance sheet & income statement impacts of new transactions to challenge or propose material accounting judgmental entries when relevant
  • Developing of documentation (Guidelines, Manuals) relevant for Group US GAAP reporting and maintaining it complete and up-to-date
  • Supporting group wide finance projects

Qualifications

More about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA or Masters in Accounting preferred
  • An appropriate certification in accounting and/or auditing is mandatory, including a CPA, ACCA, and/or CIA
  • A minimum 8+ years of experience in a senior internal or external audit or controller role
  • Experience with similar internal controls roles in large organizations or with Big 4 audit firms highly preferred
  • Expert knowledge of financial and accounting activities, policies, and processes, including multi-currency consolidations, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk and controls standards and business process best practices
  • Proven track record in a growth-oriented technology environment
  • Experience in a multinational corporation desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and to drive necessary action to completion
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
  • Demonstrated sound work ethics, respect and cultural sensitivity and awareness
