Main Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that there is a healthy talent pipeline to meet business demands. This is done through the active engagement with signed and unsigned students.

Role & Responsibilities

Talent Hunting and Hugging

  • Defines and implements the strategy for the universities/pipelines he / she is responsible for inline with firm targets

  • Collaborates with Regional Managers to identify Hunt initiatives and to formulate action plans to address target needs

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for the identification and acquisition of top talent in assurance graduates

  • Ensures that majority of their time is spent with university students in the form of relationship development with both signed and unsigned students. This is done in a formal and informal manner

Marketing

  • Ensure that you are consciously and actively marketing AGR and Deloitte through a variety of mediums and channels, this includes but is not limited to Social Media and Networking
  • Adopt a philosophy of being a constant brand ambassador in every aspect of your daily life
  • Focuses the broadcasting of both push and pull information internally and externally to Deloitte

Reporting

  • Takes responsibility for the reporting of the Talent Pipeline
  • Takes responsibility for reporting on Hunting and Hugging initiatives.
  • Responsible for reporting on allocated projects as defined by management
  • Responsible for the push and pull of information on all hug initiatives to AGR and key stakeholders

Communication

Play an active role in the AGR Communication Strategy, including but not limited to:

  • Talent initiative broadcasting
  • Assurance Talent success reporting
  • All team interactions
  • Stakeholder engagement at all levels both internally and externally
  • Plays the pivotal role of ensuring that all regions are informed and up to date with Talent Hunting and Hugging.
  • Responsible for flow of push and pull communication to the regions
  • Builds healthy and professional working relationships with team management as well as other team members
  • Builds a healthy and professional working relationship with the National AGR Leader, with a focus on mentorship and guidance
  • Builds relationships with students who are either signed with Deloitte or we are enticing to become Deloitte trainees

Strategic relationship management

Deloitte Relationships

  • Establish a trusted Business Partner relationship with key decision makers
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with all relevant Talent Partners and Business Unit Leaders
  • Gather clear and comprehensive understanding of the strategy and operations of Deloitte and the various regions.
  • Utilise understanding in an advisory capacity
  • Forms a strong working relationship with the AGR Managers and team to ensure that there is clear delivery objectives set and met
  • Establishes key working relationships with the Marketing and Events team to ensure that projects, initiatives and functions are rolled out effectively

External Stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain a trusted business relationship with strategic external stakeholders
  • Ensures a healthy flow of continual communication

  • Form a solid and lasting relationship which is focused on creating engagement with the firm

Operational Effectiveness

  • Fully responsible for the achievement of objectives as defined by the strategy and the operational implementation thereof
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process and the reporting thereof

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • CA(SA)

Minimum experience

  • Newly qualified CA(SA)
  • Experience in a similar role is preferable
