Director, Finance and Administration
SUMMARY OF ROLE
IntraHealth is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration for an upcoming five-year USAID Multi-Sector Nutrition, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health project in Uganda. The purpose of the activity is to facilitate government leadership and enhance sustainable multi-sectoral coordination to accelerate gains in nutrition, maternal, newborn and child health outcomes in the country.
The Director, Finance and Administration will be a key member of IntraHealth’s project leadership team. S/he is responsible for providing fiscal leadership in the implementation of the project, ensuring the project can effectively and responsibly use USAID resources to meet project goals. The Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for the financial systems of the project, including project budgeting, financial monitoring, and meeting legal, auditing and contractual responsibilities. S/he will be the principal financial representative of the project as well as coordinate the financial and administrative and HR functions and support. The Director of Finance and Administration is expected to develop the project financial plan, to include monitoring and reporting systems that meet USG requirements, and manage contracting activities including grants under contract. S/he will manage all procurement and contracts/subcontract administration activities and assure compliance with organizational and donor policies. S/he will implement fraud mitigation practices and ensure systems and processes are implemented effectively to support implementation of the award. The Director, Finance and Administration will report to the Chief of Party, and will collaborate closely with IntraHealth Uganda country office staff and US-based financial and contracts leaders from the IntraHealth Chapel Hill office.
